Showmanship

Matt Damon told The Las Vegas Sun that long in development Steven Soderbergh-directed Liberace biopic is still gonna happen.

The film was originally slated to shoot this Summer and then delayed to early next year--The pic has Michael Douglas starring as the legendary Vegas entertainer, and Damon playing his lover.

Damon says "Yeah, it's going to happen. We're going to do it next summer." adding "Richard Lagravenese has written a really great script and, you know, hopefully it will be a really great movie. I don't see why it wouldn't be."

Most of the production will be shot in Los Angeles with a few scenes in Las Vegas.

The big reasons for the delay was that Soderbergh's "Contagion" thriller has been moved forward and kicks off early this Fall. Damon has a small part in the star packed pic as well
