The Craig Gillespie's remake of Tom Holland’s classic 80s pic Fright Night already has garnered a pretty cool cast – David Tennant as Peter Vincent Anton Yelchin as Charlie, Colin Farrell as the vampire next door, Toni Collette as Charlie’s mom, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Evil Ed, Imogen Poots as Amy (Charlie’s girlfriend) and Sandra Vergara as Vincent's glamourous assistant.

The Playlist.says that Dave Franco (younger brother of actor James Franco) has now joined the cast as a school bully

As Franco explains:

"I play the arrogant [a-hole}-bully. Anton plays the main kid so I’m his nemesis at school until he runs into Colin who is supposed to be the ultimate bad guy in the movie. Yeah I play the di**, so it’s fun."

The original 1985 pic followed Charley Brewster (William Ragsdale), a young man who is convinced his new neighbor Jerry Dandrige (Chris Sarandon) is a vampire and seeks the help of his girlfriend (Amanda Bearse), his nerdy and condescending friend Evil Ed (Stephen Geoffreys) and ageing horror actor turned late night TV host (Roddy McDowall) to help him.

The new version is scripted by Marti Noxon and sets the action in Las Vegas instead of the suburbs
