Scarlett Johansson is poised to star as the female lead in David O. Russell'’s "Old St. Louis"" says Vulture. The story follows a traveling salesman (Vince Vaughn) and absentee father who finds his life changing when his daughter becomes involved in his work. Johansson would play a secretary who accompanies them on their cross-country trip.
Chloe Moretz is said to be in contention to play the daughter
O' Russell wrote the script while Vaughn and his sister Victoria Vaughn will produce.
The pic will kick off filming in October.
