What's Playing reports that Marvel suits approached the actor to play another superhero in one of their upcoming film properties.
Which role however isn't clear as the studio has several in development.
Recently Welling was considered for "Snow White and the Huntsman", a role that eventually went to "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth.
Former "Smallville" showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar may also want to reunite with Welling for the reboot of the Quartermain franchise--now that Sam Worthington has moved on from talks...
