Universal Pictures let its opttion pass
Even as Howard, Brian Grazer and Akiva Goldsman tried to bring the budget down after the project hit some big snags a few weeks ago. According to trade “Today was D-Day for Dark Tower because the studio had a July 15 deadline to commit to the movies or not.”
Howard is moving on with the racing biopic drama "Rush"
Sorry to see this one mothballed but not surprised really...Perhaps someday...Down the road....As a watered down made for TV mini-series?
