Running Hero Bio

A biopic of Greek marathon runner Stylianos Kyriakidesis in the works says The Hollywood Reporter.

Kyriakides was a champion long distance runner in Greece, competing in the 1936 Summer Olympics, but his career was sidelined by g World War II.

After fighting for the resistance, the emaciated man competed in the 1946  the Boston Marathon in the late 1930s. He was initially denied entry as he was so weak doctors feared he would die, ultimately though he went from near last place to finish first.

"The Rookie" and "Secretariat" producers Mark Ciardi Gordon Gray will join Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougasd.
