Gillespie Leaves “Pride And Prejudice And Zombies"

Craig Gillespie has dropped out of directing the film adaptation of “Pride And Prejudice And Zombies" according to Deadline. The parting by Gillespie is said to have been both a mutual decision and amicable.

The film's story is taken from Seth Grahame-Smith's book using Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice and puts bloodthirsty flesh-eating zombies into the action. The tome now tells the timeless story of a woman's quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.

Natalie Portman was to play the role as well as produce the film but left last year. Then Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson Mia Wasikowska Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Rooney Mara, and Olivia Wilde were all being considered for the role at one point.

At last report both Blake Lively and Dominic Cooper were now attached to play the leads

David O. Russell and Mike White were previously attached to helm but soon left the pic; Russell, Gillespie Grahame-Smith and Marti Noxon have all drafted the script

Annette Savitch Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick Ted Hamm and Portman would produce.

Jeebus folks! At this point I will direct the film for free!!
