Written by Miles Chapman and then rewritten by Jason Keller the story follows Ray Breslin, a world-famous structural engineer and security expert who designs escape-proof prisons. He soon finds himself framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed and must find a way to escape and track down the person responsible.
Both Bruce Willis and then Arnold Schwarzenegger were under consideration for the lead role until both moved on.
Robbie Brenner and Mark Canton are producing.
Antoine Fuqua was once attached to direct. The producers will now look for a director to replace him.
