The Avengers: Told Through Cap's Eyes

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly director Joss Whedon says that a lot of Marvel's superhero team up flick The Avengers will be told from the perspective of Steve Rogers (aka. Captain America) played by Chris Evans.

Whedon says the main issue when he started writing this superhero team-up project was that "there is no reason for these people to be in the same movie. So that's what my movie has to be about."

Therefore "so much of the movie takes place from Steve Rogers' perspective, since he's the guy who just woke up and sees this weird ass world. Everyone else has been living in it."

This echoes comments Evans made to GQ a few weeks back when he said his character is "a straight- shooter. He's probably pretty boring as far as a character goes, but I feel like he grounds things. When you have these giant personalities and egos, there needs to be someone who brings them back down and reminds that this is a team, not the individual show."

Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth Scarlett Johansson Samuel L. Jackson Jeremy Renner Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, and Amanda Righetti and Paul Bettany star in the May 4, 2012 film
