Theron Helps Bring Obscure Comic To Big Screen

Charlize Theron is attached to star and produce the sci-fi action flick "Agent 13" says Variety.

T.S. Nowlin's pitch is based on a little known trilogy of novels and comics created by Flint Dille and David Marconi called Agent 13: The Midnight Avenger from the 80's. These tales paid homage to the popular pulp tales of the 1930's. In the comic 'Agent 13' is a man and will remain, Theron plays a different role.

There's no word yet if this is an original adventure featuring the characters, or an adaptation of one of the three stories - "The Invisible Empire," "The Serpentine Assassin" or "Acolytes of Darkness".

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" helmer Rupert Wyatt is set to call the shots

Theron and Sean Daniel  are producing.

Universal Pictures is closing a deal to pick up the film reports Heat Vision.
