X-Men First Class Sequel Gets Its Official title

The X-Men First Class Sequel has a title...And it's actually not a surprise at all...

Speaking with IGN (via The Playlist), producer Bryan Singer  tells them the film will indeed be called 'Days of Future Past' and is based on a -2 issue story arc in the 'X-Men' comics published in 1981.

The storyline involves both the present day and a future timeline caused by the X-Men's failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating a U.S. Senator. Sentinels rule the United States and mutants live in internment camps,

Singer adds that there are plans to connect this with the other X-Men films.

The entire cast is set to reprise their roles, including James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), and Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), January Jones (Emma Frost) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast).

Matthew Vaughn will call action again.

Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes) is on board to pen the screenplay which will include New Mutants. Magneto and his relationship with Charles X. Xavier will be front and center as well.

Scheduled to begin shooting early next year, "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" hits screens July 18th 2014.
