Universal has plans for the character since Black has in fact signed on for Fast & Furious 8 and 9.
The 7th film will see Jason Statham's Ian Shaw character out for revenge against Dominic and Brian (Vin Diesel and Paul Walker).
Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson will be back in action as well.

Nathalie Emmanuel--who starred as Daenery's new servant Missandei in the recently wrapped season of Game of Thrones, plays a "significant" new member of Diesel and Walker's team. Djimon Hounsou also stars.
Director James Wan is calling action using Chris Morgan's script.

Production on the action sequel has begun in Atlanta to make a July 11, 2014 release.
