Based upon the Charles Martin penned novel, the story follows a female writer heading off to get married and a doctor (Michael Fassbender was in early talks to star as the doctor. No word if that's still the case.) returning home from a medical conference. After their flight is cancelled, the strangers agree to charter a ride only to see the pilot suffer a heart attack and crash into a desolate snowy mountain. The doctor is an avid climber and he struggles to help get her down from the mountain in harsh weather.
Gerardo Naranjo ("Miss Bala") was initially set to call action
J. Mills Goodloe wrote the adapted the script.
Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark and Jenno Topping will produce the film.
