The Police Academy franchise, followed a ragtag group of police recruits who repeatedly are called to help save the city. The new film brings the prenise into the 21st century.
Scott Zabielski-- a reserve police officer in West Hollywood--was previously attached to direct here but that's no longer the case.
David Diamond and David Weissman ("When In Rome") penned the script.
Original films producer Paul Maslansky will return in the same capacity.
