Filmmaker Richard Donner says that after years of chatter that he's finally making a sequel to his classic 1985 adventure film "The Goonies".
Donner was asked by TMZ if any of the original film's stars are coming back, he said "hopefully all of them".
Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, Martha Plimpton, Jonathan Ke Quan, Kerri Green, Jeff Cohen, Robert Davi and Joe Pantoliano starred in the original film written by Chris Columbus about a group of kids who set out on an adventure in search of pirate treasure that could save their homes from foreclosure.
Two of the original cast members, Anne Ramsey (Mama Fratelli) and John Matuszak (Sloth) have passed away. Brolin, Astin, Plimpton, Davi and Pantoliano are all still busy acting. Green occasionally acts and preferring to produce films. Cohen is an entertainment lawyer, and Ke Quan is a stunt choreographer.
