The story follows a female book editor who visits the home of a horror writer so she can coax him to complete a novel. She discovers that all of his creations are holding him hostage.
Zak Olkewicz penned the spec script which Dimension Films acquired last year. Daugherty will do a rewrite and then take the helm.
Lee Clay is producing the picture.
