The film is inspired by the true story Washington Roebling (Daniel Radcliffe) a brilliant but inexperienced engineer left to oversee the Brooklyn Bridge's construction when his father dies (Kingsley). Besieged by calamity and doubt, his obsession threatens to destroy him until he discovers an improbable ally in his charming and shrewd wife (Larson).
Douglas McGrath will direct the feature using his own screenplay.
Christine Vachon and Rose Ganguzza are producing the film.
