Channing Tatum Is "Struck by Genius"

Sony Pictures will adapt author Jason Padgett's memoir "Struck by Genius" and is developing it as a starring and producing vehicle for Channing Tatum says THR.

The book was published in April. The memoir was co-written with Maureen Seaberg and charts the aftermath of Padgett’s 2002 injury, when he was attacked  outside of a karaoke bar and suffered a severe concussion and PTSD. In the aftermath--he became the first documented case of acquired savant syndrome with mathematical synesthesia as a result, Padgett became a math marvel, able to see geometric shapes in everything around him.

Tatum, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan and “Out of the Furnace” producer Michael Costigan will produce the pic.
