Guy Pearce And Dominic West Play 2 "Genius" Authors

Guy Pearce and Dominic West a are set to  the Michael Grandage-directed true story drama "Genius" says Screen.

Based on the A. Scott Berg award winning biography "Max Perkins: Editor of Genius", the story deals with the real-life tender and complex friendship between literary giant Thomas Wolfe
(Law taking over for Michael Fassbender) and renowned editor Maxwell Perkins (Colin Firth). Wolfe became famous from a young age for both his talent and larger-than-life personality. Perkins is one of the most respected literary editors of all time who discovered talent such as F. Scott Fitzgerald (Pearce) and Ernest Hemingway (West). While most writers struggle with their words, Wolfe had the opposite problem and butted heads with Perkins who demanded he keep to a tight word limit. It was a volatile relationship, but one that changed both their lives.

Nicole Kidman and Laura Linney co-star in the drama.

John Logan ("Skyfall," "Gladiator") penned the adapted  script.

James Bierman is producing the film.

Filming begins next month at Shepperton Studios and on location in the UK.
