Leonardo DiCaprio Deals To Track "American Wolf"

A deal is being made to pick up the screen rights to author Nate Blakeslee's book proposal "American Wolf" says THR.

The novel will detail the he story of O-Six, a female alpha wolf and arguably amongst the world's most famous wild animals. Collared and tracked by researchers at Yellowstone National Park, she gained a huge following by scientists and the public. She was shot by a hunter in 2012 just outside the park's boundaries, an act that caused outrage despite it being legal.

Leonardo DiCaprio Kevin McCormick and Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce the feature which focuses on the impact she had on the humans around her from the wolf watchers to her vilified hunter who remains unnamed to this day.
