Now that Zodiac scripter James Vanderbilt has been hired to pen the screenplay for Spider-Man 4--he's telling folks he is looking forward to the job and can't wait to get going--once the strike is over...



Comics2film has the quotes from an interview that Vanderbilt recently did with BlogTalkRadio.com's Movie Geeks United! show:

"I really loved the films," Vanderbilt said.

"It's sort of an odd process because you're sitting down with people who made the first three and going, 'Well, let me tell you what to do,' which is always odd."

The writer added, "But I was lucky enough that they were interested in me and I'm a huge fan of those movies, so we closed that up right before the strike. And once the strike's over, I get to go to work."

Vanderbilt makes a solid choice to do Spidey's next script. He's worked on enough action fare to make it work.
