In the film , the folks of a small Kansas town are besieged by a virus that causes insanity and death when a mysterious toxin contaminates the local water supply.
Breck Eisner will helm from a script by Ray Wright (I) and Scott Kosar.
Romero will serve as executive producer.
Romero is a genius with this kind of material--I'm so glad he'll be around to oversee the redo.
Production is set to begin early next year.
