THR's Heat Vision Blog says that newcomer director Zebediah de Soto, screenwriter David R. Schwartz and producer Simon West (When a Stranger Calls) are planning a "re-imagining" of George A. Romero groundbreaking film Night of the Living Dead titled Night of the Living Dead: Origins in 3-D with CGI no less.
Forgetting that the zombie horror pic was already remade in 1990...
Romero's first film in the series is in the Public domain--meaning anyone can do anything with it at any time...Ho hum... Sigh....
At least we can take solace in that Romero's Survival of the Dead is on the way.
