Actor Michael C. Hall continues to garner critical acclaim and awards kudos for his performance on the Showtime drama Dexter, but his forays into cinema haven’t been quite as fruitful.
Things might change as he teams up with James Manos Jr., creator of Dexter, for a silver screen effort. Deadline relays that Hall will lead indie flick Love, Scotch, and Death; the film is based on a semi-autobiographical script from Manos that accounts for a rather unusual week.
Manos also sits in the director’s chair for this one, making it his debut as a film director; shooting is tentatively scheduled to start in November. Vera Farmiga also stars in the picture, though her role isn’t known just yet; I’m guessing that she’ll play Manos’ wife.
Hall and Farmiga should make for a great team, and I see this one becoming a bit of an awards contender.
