Director Roman Polanski has made an impressive number of acclaimed films throughout the years; he continues to impress audiences with modern fare like The Ghost Writer and looks to do so again at the end of the year with the dramedy Carnage.
He’s now negotiating with Focus Features to direct True Life, a film based on “the true story of a Polish murderer who was caught after he made his crime into a novel,” according to the Belfast Telegraph. No stars are attached just yet, but Jeremy Brock (The Last King of Scotland) has written a script for the film.
Say what you will about Polanski – and there’s tons to say about him – but he remains one of the most revered and respected directors of his time. Additionally, this sounds like a really fascinating story, one that would be perfect for Polanski.
How do you feel about Polanski stepping on board for True Crime?
