Bradley Cooper is in early talks to play Lucifer in Paradise Lost says Variety.
The film takes John Milton's classic 17th century poem "Paradise Lost" story and deals with Lucifer's fall from grace, his temptation of Adam and Eve, and the first couple's subsequent banishment from the Garden of Eden.
This adaptation reimagines it with a Hollywood-friendly, action-oriented slant which could possibly be shot in 3D. It's likely the Lucifer character will keep the arrogant yet charismatic and ultimately tragic overtones of his role in Milton's work...There's also a competing film of the biblical story lurking
No official offer has yet to be made to Cooper for Lost though....But this could work out for him since he was circling remake of The Crow helmed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo--which is now seemingly stalled over a legal tussle
Alex Proyas is directing this version of Paradise which is scheduled for release next year.
The script has passed through the hands of several writers, including Stuart Hazeldine, Lawrence Kasdan and Ryan Condal
Thomas Tull Vincent Newman and Jon Jashni are producing.
