Earlier this month word came down that Bradley Cooper was circling the upcoming remake of The Crow with helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo calling the shots for a Fall Shoot
Wait though maybee not--There semss to be some kind of legal tug-of-war going on..
Deadline reported last Wednesday that the The Weinstein Company who distributed the original film through Miramax back in 1994, claim that there's a written and signed contract which gives their company the worldwide rights to the film. Relativity Media the group behind the remake, disagrees and negotiations have broken down...
Relativity released a statement. Here's an excerpt: "If served, Relativity will seek immediate dismissal... We intend to seek appropriate remedies for this misconduct. Clearly this is a feeble attempt to create a press stir and a malicious effort to interfere with Relativity's development of the project."
The site then posted another letter from Relativity's Chicago-based office which you can see if you click here
We're going to court folks...Stay Tuned!
