Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden is set to join the thriller Bastille Day says Variety.
Andrew Baldwin's screenplay that
follows a U.S. operative (Idris Elba) who is told to make a young American boy "disappear" to avoid any embarrassment
after he is linked as a prime suspect in a Paris metro bombing. After several
more attacks take place, the agent realizes that the young boy is innocent,
and in fact, that he may be the only link to the actual perpetrator.
No details were given for Madden's character. Adèle Exarchopoulos also stars.
James Watkins (The Woman in Black, Eden Lake) is directing--at one time both Pierre Morel
and Baran bo Odar were previously attached.
Philippe Rousselet Steve Golin, Bard Dorros and David
Kanter will produce the project .
