With her marriage to a cheating husband at an end, the story follows a woman who returns to her hometown to clear the name of her favorite English teacher. Said teacher's career came to a forced end after a classroom scandal.
Mike White is writing the adapted screenplay.
Matt Tolmach is producing the film.
The book will be published next year.
