In late 2011 "Rescue Me" co-creator Peter Tolan and Jeremy Garelick had reportedly finished their script which goes the way of the 21 Jump Street movie in that it's not a parody but it is a comedy, and is only loosely based on the show even though there will be some nods to the series.
