Pilgrim Players

Several more actors have joined the cast of Edgar Wright’s upcoming comic book adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. the World say various Internet sources.

First up, AICN reports Chris Evans (pictured) will play pro-skateboarder turned movie star Lucas Lee, the second of the evil ex-boyfriends of Ramona V. Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

Evans really impressed me with his quite dramatic turn in Danny Boyle's under appreciated Sunshine proving he's more than just a hunky pretty boy... That hunky moniker will however serve Lucas well.

He will next be seen in the February 6th flick Push.

Empire posts that Ellen Wong has also signed on to play Scott's 17-year-old Chinese schoolgirl stalker Knives Chau.

Aubrey Plaza joined the cast late last week playing Julie Powers, the obnoxious girlfriend of Stephen Stills, the lead singer of Pilgrim's band Sex Bob-omb.

Plaza will also be seen in Judd Apatow’s Funny People

Finally Slashfilm indicates Arshad Aslam was up for the role of Matthew Patel.

Based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's comics series, about teenager Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) has to defeat his girlfriend Ramona's seven evil ex-boyfriends in order to win her heart.

The already cast Kieran Culkin, will play Pilgrim's gay former roommate Wallace Wells.

Production is scheduled to start in March.
