A Spidey Film Comes Out Once A Year?

We know that Sony Pictures has plans to continue and even expand the Spidey film series...Given that the studio lacks the multiple tentpole power of its rivals-the goal is to open  a Spidey-related release annually.

"We are expanding the ‘Spider-Man' universe into ‘The Sinister Six' and ‘Venom,' so that we have ‘Spider-Man' movies every year" the company's co-chairman Amy Pascal told Variety.

Alex Kurtzman is supposed to direct and co-write "Venom" while Drew Goddard will write and potentially direct "The Sinister Six". While both films are in development, neither has set a date yet.

Pascal also confirmed that The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb is returning to direct "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" which is due out in June 2016.
