Kieran Culkin has been cast in Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. says HitFix.Based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's popular series of comics, the movie finds the title character (Michael Cera) having to defeat the seven evil ex-boyfriends of his girlfriend (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) in order to win her heart.
Culkin plays Wallace Wells, Pilgrim's gay roommate who is considered the more responsible of the duo and also know for his keen observations on life.
Culkin's turn in Igby Goes Down helped take him out from his bro Macaulay's shadow--This has the potential to put him in the stratosphere--given the role and his talents.
Production is scheduled to begin this Spring in Toronto.
