Playing To Your Base

Actor Robert Pattinson is sticking to what works for his career...for now...he circles a romantic pic called "Memoirs" says Variety.

Jenny Lumet, who penned "Rachel Getting Married," is gonna to be re-writing Will Fetters' original screenplay that sees two lovers in a new relationship threatened by family tragedies.

Allen Coulter, whose credits include "Hollywoodland," "The Sopranos" and "Damages," is in talks to direct the film.

As I have said often-- films like this rely on chemistry--casting the right female lead is key.

Pattison shot to to fame in Twilight and is currently doing the sequel New Moon

On a related note--THR has the stats for those keeping score...

More than 3 million DVD copies of"Twilight" sold on its first day, ranking the film among the top five best-selling DVD titles of the past two years...
