Big, Longer And Blue

The IMAX format is making news twice over today...

James Cameron's "Avatar” is so anticipated that the IMAX gang has scheduled an almost three month run of the 3-D science fiction thriller on its big screens says The New York Post.

To give you a some idea on how unusual this is Star Trek was given only two weeks to run on in the format

For now though "Avatar" is lined up to run in IMAX theaters from its December 18th release until Tim Burton's"Alice in Wonderland" takes over on March 5th...

Mealtime David Russo is set to direct an IMAX 3D feature film about famed Blue Man Group says Variety.

The comedy will follow the Blue Men entering the brain of a socially and creatively congested person and observing his neural patterns and his habitual brain functions and memory and altering it in a way that helps him bring his inside life outside.

Lisa Robinson wrote the script. The project marks the first film to star the Blue Man Group, which has been seen onstage in hundreds of cities around the world and in commercials.

Filming kicks off early 2010 for a release in early 2011.
