Melee Entertainment--the gang behind this summer's comedy Next Day Air are producing a film about jerkin' (no not that...) it's about the hip-hop dance trend says The Hollywood Reporter.



The term Jerkin refers to a form of dancing originated in on the streets, It has a specific political ideology of providing positive anti-gang messages to inner city kids and rebels against hip-hop stereotypes in unexpected ways

Initially starting in South California, it has spread worldwide with bands like New Boyz (pictured) riding the wave

Producers are currently in talks with writers to talk story ideas.
