Rose Byrne (TV's Damages) is in negotiations to play Moira MacTaggert in n Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class says The Hollywood Reporter.
In the comics MacTaggert is a scientist and an authority on genetic mutation who also serves as the love interest of Charles Xavier (James McAvoy).
Meanwhile Jason Flemying, who has worked with Vaughn on all of his films to date will play the teleporting mutant Azazel Coming Soon reported over the weekend
The character was the lead of an ancient race of mutants who looked like demons and could teleport into other dimensions. He is also the father of Nightcrawler.
