Ir's a battle for the top spot at the box office! The Last Exorcism has edged our the action pic Takers--Barely....

..."The Last Exorcism" and "Takers" in a photo finish.

According to studio estimates Sunday, horror movie "The Last Exorcism" had a thin lead with a $21.3 million debut, closely followed by heist thriller "Takers" with a $21 million opening. They were close enough that rankings could change after final numbers are released Monday.

"The Expendables," which spent the past two weekends at No. 1, fell to third place with $9.5 million. The action film's cume is $82 million.

Playing in narrower release, a 3D special edition of "Avatar," which features 8 1/2 minutes of added footage, pulled in $4 million, boosting the sci-fi epic's domestic total....
