Cinephiles everywhere are screaming in anger. Variety reports that Scott Mann will remake the iconic Akira Kurosawa film Seven Samurai for the Weinstein Company.
As is usual with nearly all other needless remakes, it will both be contemporized and boast a reported $60 million budget. Mann also looks to help the Weinsteins with the screenplay.
