Cage's Action Comics Tale Of Woe Becomes Movie

Lionsgate is prepping a true story heist thriller that combines both a Superman comic book and actor Nicolas Cage says Heat Vision.

Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon wrote the script which focuses on a group of nerds who attempt to steal Cage's copy of Action Comics # 1, the 1938 comic that introduced the world to Superman.

The theft of the comic made headlines in 2000 and was discovered in an abandoned storage locker and then sold for a record $2.1 million at auction last year.

The part of Cage was written with the real Cage in mind but it's presently unknown if the actor will play himself.

Garant, Lennon, Peter Principato and Paul Young are producing the pic

Should be fun if done right---It still kinda pains me to think that Cage and I have the Supes thing in common...
