Plummer Is The Dad Of "The Forger"

Oscar winner Christopher Plummer has joined the cast of heist thriller The Forger reports THR.


The story sees Ray Cutter (John Travolta), a former child art prodigy and second generation petty thief who arranges to buy his way out of prison to spend time with his ailing son (Tye Sheridan, "Mud, "The Tree of Life"). He is soon forced to change his plans and commit one last big job for the syndicate who financed his early release.

Plummer will play Joseph Cutter, Travolta's father and Sheridan's grandfather, the patriarch of the family that spans three generations in the film.

Al Corley, Bart Rosenblatt, Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel and Eugene Musso will produce. Rob Carliner. Jonathan Dana and Randi Michel are executive producers on the film

Production begins in Boston in October.
