Sylvain White has been tapped to call action on a film adaptation of the DC /Vertigo comic book "The Losers" according to THR .The story follows a highly trained and eclectic Special Ops team that is set up, betrayed and left for dead. They decide to find who sold them out and why, righting wrongs they encounter along the way.
Peter Berg-who was also at one time going to direct-and James Vanderbilt adapted the material
Tim Story was also previously attached to direct at one point.
This is White's first go at an action flick but as the helmer of the DTV I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer he has some experience with genre type flicks
Shooting gets underway in early 2009.
