The story follows a young Will Rankin (Thieriot) diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis who goes on a road trip with the sister of his late friend (Laboeuf) to deliver his ashes to a healing shrine in Mexico.
Shawn Riopelle and McGuire penned the script.
Production will shift from Vancouver and the west coast of Vancouver Island to Baja, Mexico, in late February.
