Wilde People
Olivia Wilde has joined the cast of Alex Kurtzman's family drama "Welcome to People" reports THR
The story follows a struggling twenty-something junk dealer (Chris Pine) who returns home to attend the funeral of his estranged record-producer father.
His late dad's last will stipulated that he delivers $150,000 in cash to a 30-year-old alcoholic sister (Elizabeth Banks) he never knew existed. Determined to keep the money, he makes contact with her and her troubled teenage son anyway but doesn't reveal who he really is.
Wilde will play Hannah, the girlfriend of Pine's character.
Kurtzman directs from a script he co-wrote with Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert.
Kurtzman, Orci and Bobby Cohen will produce.
Shooting kicks off this month in Los Angeles.
Wilde will also appear opposite Eric Bana in the indie crime thriller “Kin”
