Moms Sinks A Sub

Disney has nixed Robert Zemeckis’ planned adaptation of Yellow Submarine says Heat Vision.

Zemeckis first set up the project in mid-2009 and early last year Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz and Adam Campbell  were signed to play the The Beatles in the film  using motion capture technology that Zemeckis used in  "Beowulf,"  "The Polar Express and A Christmas Carol,".

The plan was also to use sixteen Beatles songs in the film

The project has hit a number of snags in recent months from budget issues to the downturn in box-office for this type o' pic. ala this past weekend's ugly opening for the Zemeckis-produced $150 million-budget Mars Needs Moms

Zemeckis is likely to move on to a new live-action flick while he tries finding a new home for 'Submarine'.
