The story follows a group of thieves (led by Ejiofor) who plan to kill a young LAPD officer (Affleck) to divert the police away from a daring heist they’re perpetrating across town.
Jordan plays a cop secretly working for Ejiofor's character who partners up with Affleck's character in order to set the latter up.
Affleck is replacing the previously linked Charlie Hunnam.
Matt Cook wrote the script from which John Hillcoat ("Lawless," "The Road") is set to direct.
Christoph Waltz and Cate Blanchett also star.
Steve Golin, Bard Dorros Megan Ellison and Keith Redmon are producing the film.
Production aims to begin next year.
