John Singleton Set To Tell Tupac Story

Despite departing the film several years ago, John Singleton  has closed a deal to rewrite, direct and produce an Untitled Biopic about late rapper Tupac Shakur says Variety.

The film will explore the life and times of the iconic hip-hop artist, his rise to fame and his 1996 murder in Las Vegas.

Singleton worked with Shakur on the film "Poetic Justice" and has gotten close with the Shakur family since the rapper’s death.

The search for an actor to play Shakur is underway.

James G. Robinson and David Robinson will produce the project.

The goal is to begin production in June.
