Rockefeller built the Standard Oil empire, spending decades dodging investigations into his business tactics. He ultimately turned into a philanthropist who gave away most of his fortune.
Craig Borten ("Dallas Buyers Club") is writing the adapted script using author Ron Chernow's book "Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr.".
Matt Alvarez and Robert Kravis will produce the film.
