Based on a short story by China Miéville-the plot surrounds a daughter who disappears after awakening supernatural forces that inhabit the random patterns of everyday objects.
Daniel Kay wrote the original adaptation that Laugier polished.
Laugier's Martyrs made some noise--I'll be interested to see if this film puts his career in orbit.
