Source Material
Moon director Duncan Jones tells Man Made Movies that the thriller Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal, will be out early 2011.
"My edit is complete, and we are working hard on visual effects, choosing a composer and trying the film out on a few people just to see how it goes over. Lots to do really, but everything is coming together" he says
"I know that performance-wise we got some great stuff from [the cast] I know that the script was always tight, and the film has a hell of a fast pace to it. I know that I did my best to inject some humor where I could."
Jone was also linked to the new "Judge Dredd" reboot at one point
"I would have loved to do the Judge Dredd movie that is underway. I was in fact sent the script to look at. Its a great script, and I hope I will not rue the decision of passing on it."
So what happened?
"I had such a strong idea of what I wanted to do with a Dredd movie, I could not bring myself to take it on and not do it my way! … and its not like I could do it as a sequel either; my Dredd would have been really weird, and dark and funny, but not your traditional introduction to a hero character. I don't even know if I could have made my version of the film pitch-able. It was maybe too off the wall."
It could not have been any worse than the first Dredd film was-Off the wall may have turned out GREAT
Great fan of Jones after seeing Moon--Watch it! If you have not already done so...
High Jacked
Now in post production, "Jackass 3-D " director Jeff Tremaine chatted with Collider about the pic.
He says 80% of the film was shot in 3D using the Red Digital camera, while the remaining segments will be in glorious 2D still others will undergo a 3-D conversion. Filming on the flick kicked off in February, though there's just a few more days of shooting left to go in the near future.
In total they've shot about double the amount of segments we'll see on screen in the final 90-minute film, in fact there's at least an hour of additional material that will probably be incorporated down the road at some point
The original team of Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Bam Margera and Preston Lacy are back
There are also celebrity cameos as well, but they're not going to reveal who they are until the movie pops.on 10/15/10

"Been Showing Off A Bit..."
Therefore it should come as no surprise that I Post the following...
Julian Francis Adderley of ITHoTMKProductions recently had the chance to visit the location used for the Kent Farm in Superman, and he put together this video about his experience.
The emotion I felt after watching that video really sneaked up on me...And if you feel the same way about STM that I do...I'll bet your reaction was very similar...
Thanks Julian....

Fincher is denying claims that either he or Sony Pictures have made plans to shoot the three books in the Tattoo" trilogy back-to-back or are already in early prep on any sequels.
He tells MTV that "No, there's no plans for that right now. You got to make one that people want to see a sequel to before you can make a sequel".
Somebody better tell studio co-chairman Amy Pascal that...
Fincher also confirmed plans to shoot and set the film in Sweden, specifically "Stockholm. Uppsala. In the north".
There are no plans to move the setting to the U.S?
"You have to. What, are you going to put it in Seattle?… Seattle noir [laughter]".
Bo Back In Time?
Promoting August 13th's The Expendables at AICN, Stallone says he's open to the idea of a prequel to the franchise.
"I certainly think this is worth pondering because it’s intriguing to find the whys and wherefores of how people have come to become what they are. The traumas, the loss, and the tragedy of being in Vietnam would certainly be a great challenge for a young actor".
Stallone would also be up for calling action on the film, joking "it would be ironic that Rambo directs younger Rambo after having played it for 20 plus years."
In an odd twisted way--that makes perfect sense though...
Data Lore

The original is so good that it would be hard to top that
What about 'Express'?
The odds are a bit better--but not any time soon
Goldberg says the studio likes the idea an booked everything we could because we thought it'd be our only chance… It still could be our only chance, but man are we booked."
Leaving Lincoln Behind
While chatting with GMTV via Digital Spy actor Liam Neeson says that he's no longer involved in the Steven Spielberg long planned Lincoln biopic.

Just Us Schmucks
Jay Roach hosts a Dinner for Schmucks (reviews) with Steve Carell and Paul Rudd on the guest list; Zac Efron faces death and life in Charlie St. Cloud (reviews) And Cats & Dogs: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore (reviews) marks its territory...
Carl DiOrio of THR breaks it all down:
...Warner Bros. unleashes the 3D sequel "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore" in 3,705 domestic theaters. Also Friday, Paramount debuts the PG-13 comedy "Dinner for Schmucks" with at least 2,900 playdates, and Universal floats the Zac Efron starrer "Charlie St. Cloud" into more than 2,700 theaters.
But likely as not, Warners' Leonardo DiCaprio starrer "Inception" will threepeat atop the weekend boxoffice with $25 million-$30 million from its third session. The Christopher Nolan-helmed fantasy thriller boasts more than $167 million in domestic coin entering the weekend.
Brad Peyton gets a first feature-directing credit with "Kitty Galore." Produced for an estimated $85 million with Village Roadshow co-financing, the live-action pic features talking animals voiced by James Marsden, Nick Nolte, Christina Applegate, Roger Moore, Neil Patrick Harris and Sean Hayes, with additional cast including Chris O'Donnell.
"It's great summer fare, and I'm looking for us to be No. 1 and 2 this weekend," Warners distribution boss Dan Fellman said.
[Gosh! I hope not! Seriously...-Tom]
Recent 3D releases have struggled to secure enough extra-dimensional screens, causing a related downturn in the 3D share of some movies. But "Kitty Galore" will bow in an impressive 2,130 locations featuring at least one 3D screen, or nearly 50% more 3D penetration than that mustered by Universal's "Despicable Me" and a couple hundred more than Paramount secured for the opening of "The Last Airbender."
"Cats & Dogs" bowed in July 2001 with $21.7 million, fetching $38 million in its first five days after unspooling ahead of the Independence Day weekend and $93.4 million overall domestically. Expect "Kitty Galore" to open a bit higher but just below the weekend tally for "Inception."
"Schmucks" is the stronger of the session's 2D wide openers. Starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, it's helmed by comedy king Jay Roach and should do best with younger males while topping $20 million through Sunday.
The question is: Top by how much?
"From a demo standpoint, that's our sweet spot," Paramount executive vp distribution Don Harris said. "But it's hard to project the overall gross."
Co-produced by Par, DreamWorks and Spyglass Entertainment, "Schmucks" totes an estimated $55 million negative cost.
Directed by Burr Steers (Efron's "17 Again"), "St. Cloud" is rated PG-13 and co-stars Amanda Crew ("The Haunting in Connecticut") in the story of a young man (Efron) who can still see his dead younger brother, a complication hampering his pursuit of the girl of his dreams. Interest is strongest among younger females.
"It's first choice over any other film in the marketplace in that category," Universal distribution chief Nikki Rocco said. "I think that bodes well."
Produced for an estimated $44 million with Relativity on board as a co-financier, "St. Cloud" could woo as much as the midteen millions through Sunday...
Nicole Sperling of EW:
'Dinner for Schmucks' and 'Cats & Dogs' sequel vie for box office dollars....
As for me I'm hoping Inception threepeats at the top so that maybe just maybe Hollywood will realize that good films make money and not gimmicks like 3-D

Ideas For Going Green
"We've come up with an idea, but who knows… You don’t make a movie like this without considering the sequel. Yeah, we have the whole plot planned out, which is kind of what we would have done in the first place" says Goldberg.
Producer Neil Moritz and director Michel Gondry have been much more hesitant to discuss the subject , only hinting that some ideas had been discussed.
It has also been revealed that the studio suits were reluctant to hire Gondry at first, but then he shot and presented a fight sequence for the film and "none of us had ever seen anything like it… he came in and blew everyone’s mind away, showing he could do action" says Goldberg.
Cap In Costume
"There's a couple stages [of the suit]. Initially in the script, Steve [Rogers] isn't Captain America right away. He gets the injection and isn't asked to go to war right off the bat, he's used in different areas and different facets. So he has a couple different stages of the suit. I don't think he jumps in the final suit until the third act of the film" says Evans.
Evans added that the shield as well will be upgraded through the film - "During the USO tour, there's obviously a different shield. He goes on a couple missions, goes AWOL, and takes the USO shield. Once he's allowed to be this soldier and they outfit him with a new uniform, they decide to outfit him with an updated shield."
Evans also has high praise for castmate Sebastian Stan who plays Cap's pal and sidekick Bucky in the film
[He] is fantastic. He just started his first day at work. They make for a great relationship," Evans says. "So far, I think the plot line between Steve and Bucky has been fantastic."

No disrespect to Nicol but as I think about this one--If he's not careful The ending could be very easy to figure out
Crossed Legs
Kristin Davis told E! Online that a third Sex and the City flick is looking unlikely due to the less than stellar box office of SATC 2
"I don't think so, not that I know of. I wish it was so that we were continuing but I don't know. We made [about] 300 million internationally. There was so much hype, not coming from us, but the media hyped it up and then they tore it down" says Davis.
Umm Isn't that how the Hollywood game is played?--Don't blame media hype Audiences can usually sniff out bad films
She adds that "I could be wrong. Obviously there was a time when we thought there was no movie happening so you never know. But it is not looking great."
The first "Sex and the City" movie in '08 grossed $415 million internationally from a $65 million budget and scored weak reviews.
This year's sequel cost $100 million but grossed a smaller $280 million and opened to scathing reviews even from strong supporters of the first film.

They end up fighting for her affections using their black-ops warfare tactics, a fight which literally demolishes much of New York City along the way.
